ANTIQUE VICTORIAN TURQUOISE HEART CLADDAGH LOCKET RING 9CT GOLD DATED 1872. This wonderful Antique mid Victorian Claddagh ring is fully hallmarked and dated 1872. It boasts a pretty Turquoise encrusted heart at the front held by two open hands. The Claddagh ring originated in Ireland in the 17th Century and the symbol of two hands holding a heart represents, love loyalty and friendship. Turquoise have also long symbolised love and friendship and together add a wonderful sentiment to the piece.
The ring is all 9ct Yellow Gold and fitted with a small, hidden locket on the reverse where a lock of hair or miniature photograph of a loved one can be kept and treasured.
